Summary

Attached are tables showing oil and gas production by operator for the state fiscal year from July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001 (FY2001). Tables were generated from relational databases maintained by the Kansas Geological Survey using data supplied by the Kansas Department of Revenue. Given that productive leases are continuously transferred between operators, production for individual operators may not be current.

During FY2001, a total of 2,272 operators reported oil production of 34,273,223 barrels. The top 20 operators produced 12,236,465 barrels of oil, and accounted for 35.7% of total production (Table 1). A complete listing of all operators is provided in Appendix 1.

Gas production during FY2001 was reported by 1025 operators and totaled 494 billion cubic feet (bcf). The top 20 operators produced 207 bcf of gas, and accounted for 82.3% of total production (Table 2). A complete listing of all operators is provided in Appendix 2.
